Jag utvecklade och nu producerar digitala "snålskjutsproduktion" anordning för motorer konvertering bensin till etanol eller metanol bränslen, såsom E70, E85, andra blandningar eller ren etanol (metanol).

I developed and now producing digital "piggy back" device for conversion gasoline engines to ethanol or methanol based fuels, like E70, E85, other mixtures or pure ethanol (methanol).

Kul, ser snyggt och kompakt ut, grattis!

Jag har lite frågor:
- hur många spridare/kanaler har boxen?
- klarar den lågohmiga spridare?
- hur aktiveras kallstarts anrikningen, är den automatiskt med en motortemperatursensor eller gör man de manuellt ?
- tar den hänsyn till öppning/stängningstid av spridare ? De flesta pigyback system enderar att ge för lång insrutning vid korta sridartider pga att de inte "drar" bort insprutningstiden
- pris?

Den har 4 oberoende kanaler, så det kan fungera med 1-4 spridare.

för låg impedans injektionsmissbrukare ytterligare motstånd som behövs för att förhindra "check engine" light. Vissa bilar med låg impedans spridarna har beståndet ytterligare motstånd - i detta fall att allt fungerar.

för att aktivera kallstart funktionen måste du vänta 5 sekunder innan dras igång efter slår på tändningen. Jag tror att ytterligare temp. sensorn inte behövs - alla beräkningar bränslemängd göra lager ECU. Användaren kan justera% av extra bränsle - efter det att motorn startar denna% kommer väl minskning på 2 minuter. Vi testar den här funktionen i E85-blandning (med vattenhaltig etanol) i-15C lufttemperatur och motorn startar mycket bra.

injektor eftersläpning tid är taked hänsyn till, utan denna parameter är justerbar i denna version. framtida användare kan justera det i servicemenyn.

Hello!

It have 4 independent channels, so it can work with 1-4 injectors.

for low impedance injectors additional resistors needed to prevent "check engine" light. some cars with low impedance injectors have stock additional resistors - in this case everything will work.

for activate cold start function you have to wait 5 seconds before cranking after turn on ignition. i think that additional temp. sensor not needed - all calculation about fuel quantity do stock ECU. user can adjust % of additional fuel - after engine start this % will smoothly decrease in 2 minutes. we test this function at E85 mixture (with hydrous ethanol) in -15C air temperature and engine starts very good.

injector's lag time are taked into account, but this parameter is not adjustable in this version. in future user can adjust it in service menu.

price without injector connectors (out of stock now :( ) is 79$, worldwide shipping is $15.

i plan to start to sell it on Ebay or using PayPal intermediary.

för 6-8 cylindrar du kan använda 2 omvandlare (med samma inställningar, förstås).

många andra omvandlare för 6-8 cylindriga motorer är bara 2 av de vanliga 4-cylindrig omvandlare i en låda:)

Förresten: denna apparat har 4 helt oberoende kanaler, så att du kan använda den för monoinjector motorer.

för 4, 5 eller 6-cylindriga motorer du kan använda 2 adapters - det är redan testade.

Note that some 6 and 8 cylinder engines are semi-sequential. Which means that two or more injectors fire at the same time.

For example, the PSA v6 engine in Peugeot and Citroën from -97 and later only use three channels, with two injectors in parallel.
This means that a 4-channel piggyback box will suffice.

Is the piggyback system tested on engines which use a peak-hold function?

For example, Ford engines with monopoint injection (called CFI with Ford's vocabulary) and EEC-IV ECU, where one of the ECU's two injector outputs controls the injector directly and the other output is connected to the same injector via a ballast resistor. This system can mainly be found on Ford Fiesta with 1,4 litre and smaller engines, from about 1987 to 1994.

Vi gjorde några installation på 6 och 8-cylindriga motorer - alla var med sequental injektion.

för semi-sekventiell naturligtvis kan du använda en enhet.

i det här läget adapter kan bara lägga 13-15% av bränslet - så om bensin används, lager ECU kan minska bränsle, och om E85 som används, lager ECU kan öka bränsle, genom signal från lambdasensor

I think that is a good idea, but to call it "Auto" is a bit untrue because the box does not adapt, better to call that setting för "UNI" or "FLEX" and
I would add 20% fuel in that settng, to be on the safe side.

One more thing to consider is to have a 100% dutycycle warning especially when running on pure ethanol with some water it is not unlikely that the injectors have too low capacity under full load.

there is a subprogram in main program, that will not allow injector to stay opened 100% time. but usually injectors and fuelrail is very cold when working with ethanol or E85 - i think, that possibility of burning of onjectors's coil is very low.

I know that the ECU adaption can make it "Auto" but a true auto would need to use the lambda sensor or a fuel sensor to determine how much ethanol there is in the fuel in order to change the amount of extra fuel (0-150%). That would have the advantage that the ecu in open loop -while starting for example- gives the right amount of fuel. In combination with a temperature sensor you could add even more fuel (200% for example) while cold cranking on ethanol.

With your "uniflex" ;-) mode (of course you need to explane in the manual) you have to much fuel while cranking on pure petrol and too little while starting on ethanol. But of corse you know that

I am not so affraid that he injector coil can burn upp but it is good to know when the engine could run too lean due to 100% duty cycle.

I have seen that happen with full gas (WOT) on monopoint injection with E85, and I could see the lambda sensor signal go lean and not getting full power. In many ECU systems the check engine light will not indicate a problem because at WOT the engine often does not run in closed loop.

If that happens for a long time I thing the exhaust valves and valve seats could get very hot because a lean ethanol mixture burns much slower and at WOT the ignition advance is only determined by the engine speed (no extra vakuum advance). I haven't heard of any real problems like burne valved seats, but it would be nice to have an little indication of a possible lean mixture. Just give a little less throttle or increasing the fuel pressure would be the solution in that case.

An other solution is of course to have a lambda sensor indicator, that indicates when the engine runs rich, lean or closed loop.

as i know, all fuel trim coefficients are working for open loop mode too.

if ECU detects too lean mixture and write fuel trim coefficient +15% (E85 fuel in Auto mode), it will work till cold start too, and mixture will not be too lean.

if ECU detects too rich mixture and write fuel trim coefficient -15% (gasoline fuel in Auto mode) it will work till cold start too and mixture will not be too reach.

and i think that user will not using "cold start assistance" while it running on gasoline - so system will work "as usual".

i already think about lean burning modes, and i think danger for valves is really small. laminar flame spped of ethanol is bigger, than gasoline, even with too lean or too reach mixtures, and temperature of flame is much smaller.

for CNG and LPG fuels burned valves on lean mixture is usual - becouse of bigger temperature of burning and (i think) lower flame speed.
